Dan is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Rionda Capital. He earned his B.S. from North Carolina State University and brings a background spanning Abbott Laboratories, Tridacna Capital Research, Bloomberg Industry Group and Bloomberg Government.

He has traded his own capital since 2014. He writes the specification, runs the research, and owns the execution infrastructure the firm trades on — investment strategy, portfolio construction and risk management included. When the live account diverges from what the specification says should have happened, it is his defect to find.

My career has moved between engineering, technology, markets, and operating businesses — not because the paths were conventional, but because each presented a harder problem to solve.
